Che ci voglia sudo è corretto, visto che in è /usr/local/sbin, ma che non venga trovato da terminale no, a meno che per qualche motivo /usr/local/sbin non sia nel $PATH.

Se è così, aggiungi export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/sbin in ~/.profile o ~/.bashrc ed è fatta.

Ok, grazie. Anch'io mi sono informato un po' su fatsort. Ho visto che riordina fisicamente i file e le cartelle - ma solo sui vari FAT (da cui prende il nome, suppongo).

Non uso FAT da tanti anni. Se proprio devo fisicamente riordinare i file su un filesystem qualsiasi di Linux, uso fsck -D.... Dubito pero' che fsck funzioni sui FAT.

Ok, thanks. I read some info about fatsort. It physically reorders files and folders in alphabetic order - but on FAT file systems only.

I don't use FAT for many years. If needed, use fsck -D... to physically reorder files and folders on any Linux file system. Though doubt that fsck works for FAT as well.

just Sì non penso che fsck possa riordinare i file in ordine alfabetico. Peccato che per riordinarli su un sistema FAT ci sia da usare un programma e che l'unico che funzioni sia fatsort, anche se funziona benissimo. Io lo uso per le chiavette usb o sd che uso sull'autoradio

just fsck -D doesn't work.It say no -D arguement.

Strano, /usr/local/sbin è già nel PATH, quindi fatsort dovrebbe essere utilizzabile fin da subito...
Se lanciandolo direttamente comunque funziona direi che il problema iniziale, ovvero "non funziona", è risolto, no ?

Ok, so a short summary of everything so far:

To install fatsort on Solus, install help2man (as pointed out by Just), and then follow the instructions given on fatsort website
To use it, run sudo /usr/local/sbin/fatsort <device to sort>

As Sacra82 said, problem solved.

If it doesn't work to run directly fatsort even if it is already in /usr/local/sbin then he can try to use an alias.

alias fatsort='sudo /usr/local/sbin/fatsort'
Or use a different name fatSort.

Install help2man and run make (simply make, no arguments) in fatsort directory. This is what I did and it works.
By the way, I'm not a fatsort developer (and neither I use it), I simply hepled OP with his language problem.

Install system.devel component (sudo eopkg install -c system.devel) - this will install all basic tools and libraries for compilation. Right now you are missing the standard C headers that are automatically installed with system.devel.
