No Files on Camera Memory Card

Hi,

I need to copy recorded video from a Panasonic video camera to my computer. Solus recognizes that the camera's micro SD card has some 15 GBs of data on it, but I cannot find any big files on the card.

Using Nautilus, I search through every single folder on the card and see no video files. Hidden files are displayed.

I then tried Terminal in super user mode and, interestingly, when listing the contents of /run/media/user/7858-8326/PRIVATE/AVCHD/BDMV it said that STREAM folder cannot be displayed:

user@t440s /run/media/user/7858-8326/PRIVATE/AVCHD/BDMV $ ls ls: cannot access 'STREAM': Input/output error CLIPINF INDEX.BDM MOVIEOBJ.BDM PLAYLIST STREAM

I accessed the same memory card on a Windows 10 computer and I did find the files. I believe they were in the STREAM folder. How can I open this folder on Solus?

Just in case, the camera model is Panasonic HC-W859.

A permissions thing that prevents a mount point/access?

brent, do you know how to check that? I tried both Nautilus and Terminal browsing in sudo mode.

Dear Moderators, please correct me if I'm wrong---it's been a while.

To check permissions: ls -l /run/media/user/7858-8326/PRIVATE/AVCHD/BDMV
or ls -l path/to/file.

To change permissions: search chown or chmod in the search function---just so you have context to exactly what you are changing permission to (user or full ownership or group etc).
***Wish I could be more precise but there a hundred ways to do the same thing in linux in case one way doesn't work.
My biggest fear for you is W10 sandbagged your sd card. I've seen it before re: ownership troubles.
