Xarsas Weird that it comes installed by default since virtualbox isnt installed by default as far as I can recall?
Not really weird at all. I create Linux VMs on a Windows host. The VBoxLinuxAdditions add the ability for those VMs to run full-screen, otherwise they run in a window about the size of a playing card. There are other advantages as well, such as better interface with the host's mouse.
Other distributions require working with a terminal in that tiny window in order to build and install those extensions. Solus does not. After the installation, <host + F> works fine to change the VM to full-screen, making it easy to do the rest of the configuration that's needed.
I've also installed Solus on numerous hardware boxes, and never experienced the problems mentioned here. I cannot believe that the VBoxLinuxAdditions are the cause, and on VMs, I appreciate that they're updated like any other software.
