which package contains libssl.so.1.1 ?

I'm new to solus and struggling with eopkg. there is search which search package names and descriptions and search-files which searches installed packages for filenames, but i cannot find a way to search yet to be installed packages for the file that i want. on debian this is done with apt-cache and is a life-saver.

is there no website where all of solus packages are searchable?

anyway, i would appreciate help in identifying the package that contains libssl.so.1.1

i already have openssl, openssl-32bit, openssl-devel, openssl-32bit-devel, libressl-shim, libressl-shim-32bit

That isn't supported in eopkg. There isn't any provider of OpenSSL 1.1.x because we're on the 1.0.x series. For me to introduce OpenSSL 1.1.x support, I need to ensure OpenSSL 1.0 libs are also included in a manner which doesn't conflict and allows for our python2 to continue to function (and as a result, our package manager), it's a complicated process and because of other higher priorities items, I haven't yet addressed it. I detailed it here. Not sure why you'd need OpenSSL 1.1 specifically though.

Thanks for the explanation of the current state. It is required for the pre-built binary of yuzu. I am going to try building from source and see how we go.

I haven't tried symlinking yet, but I consider that a last resort.

rakali Well seeing as our cmake is 3.15 I fail to see how that's an issue. Not that I'd recommend building OpenSSL 1.1, you're quite likely to break your system in a way that only a reinstall could resolve.

i have trouble counting when i run out of fingers and i conflated a cmake error as i read the 3.6 requirement simultaneously as i was running out the door.

in the end, i was able to compile yuzu (not openssl) on solus after a bit of trial and error figuring out the equivalent devel packages on solus.

rakali then their deps are screwed, there is no cmake 3.6 version, there is a cmake 3.16 rc-1 version out and we are on the latestest stable cmake version @kyrios and I always have an eye on it regarding updating
