Velophil Perhaps instead of saying Harvey failed, a simple 'thank you, but could you please provide any further information' would've been more appropriate and helpful. Now to help answer your question, laptops on Linux is a very broad case. Generally speaking if a laptop has been out for a year or two, support for it's components will almost always work as devs have had the time to incorporate that. Specifically the Thinkpad T450 you're referring to does have Linux support, though you may come across an issue with the touch pad or perhaps the wifi, depending on the driver that is installed. Does someone on here have a T450 that can tell you 100% that it works on Solus? I don't know, but I've had numerous laptops over the years, and I have managed, usually rather easily to get Linux working on them all. Your mileage will very of course, but it's long been standing that Thinkpads are a good standard when it comes to Linux. If this answer somehow fails you as well, no worries I did my best with the knowledge I have, and I hope you find the answer you're looking for.
