This is awesome news indeed.
Still, shall not be informing my social media outlets until the new ISOs reflect this version change.

Neither did I (nothing)...I expect a rollback to be released any minute now....waiting...waiting...

    JoshStrobl You saw nothing.

All I saw was updates after arriving home from church and lunch which surprised me .... being Sunday.

But, it can't be...must be a mistake. There were no balloons, fireworks, ice cream raining from the skies.
OMG, it's the end of days (lol). Cheers, now lets see further Budgie and Roadmap plans bearing fruit!
And thanks...it does warm my heart, just a little. I hope to see fantastic reviews once ISOs are available and media is aware of it.

Saw this post, and checked for updates. And right, here it is
      lsb_release -a
      LSB Version: 1.4
      Distributor ID: Solus
      Description: Solus
      Release: 4.0
      Codename: fortitude

After a sudo clr-boot-manager update the boot menu now also shows Solus 4.0 Fortitude (which was still Solus 3.9999 Shannon before)

I decided to run my long-forgotten Solus VM that I use sometimes to compile stuff so my main install is clean and sane. Took some time with over 3 hundreds updates. Decided to reboot. Boot menu reads: Solus 4.0 Fortitude.
      Me: :WAIT A SECOND!??

      Wow, the fortitude...err...umm..

Actually loving this stealthy, modest side of you
