I'm in SC.
I'm looking at "Installed." Way too much. My updates are double what they used to be as well.
I thought I was in the habit of uninstalling what I didn't need. But not everything disappears in an eopkg rm blah
, does it?
How do I know what I need or what is residue?
For instance, I have audacious-lib installed but no audacious player---or is there another program that needs audacious-lib? And how can I know?
The only way to purge dependencies/debris is to uninstall.
The only way to uninstall programs is to uninstall.
Is there a way to see if some installed items are dependent on BOTH programs that are there and aren't there anymore.
A magic grep command perhaps?
Only point of writing this post: to uninstall stuff without going down in flames.
edit: such a long day I forgot to say thank you. Thank you.
