Hey there. The title is self explanatory. Is there a way to get a KDE ISO or do I have to download a gnome/mate/budgie and then install KDE?
Is there a KDE plasma ISO?
https://mirrors.rit.edu/solus/images/Solus-Plasma-Testing-v1.iso you can get the testing ISO here
Girtablulu cheers, thanks you for the link
I would like to try plasma edition.
Will testing version go to stable with an update or stable version will require fresh system install?
860lacov Solus only has two branches, on the same repository: stable and unstable. Unstable is where commits are immediately pushed, stable is where commits in unstable land after a period of tests. That's just it. The Plasma ISO is a "testing" ISO because no one has declared it as... stable, for reasons unknown to me as I've been running Solus Plasma for months without a single hiccup.
livingsilver94 I think It lacks some sort of Solus branding, consistency between different editions and that's why it's not called "stable".
Although KDE is becoming very pleasant to use.
I know @Justin will laugh at me.
When I installed Ubuntu Disco Dingo 19.04 Development today on my testing PC (Dell Optiplex 755 with 3 partitions), I accidentally deleted the Solus Plasma install. So reinstalling from the brand new testing ISO.
(The install of Disco was to test Gnome 3.32 with for Saturday's BDLL challenge.)
Glad to say the install of Solus Plasma went really well from the new testing ISO, as did the 75 app updates.
works really good =] please keep kde on solus....
