Wait ... I just realized that we're talking about two different things. I answered your post late in the day, and when I saw VNC as something that wouldn't support audio, I read it as VLC, (from VideoLan) This morning, after some sleep, VNC looked a bit strange to me, so I finally realized we weren't talking about the same thing. VLC is indeed a competent media player, but it's not for remote access.
That thread was dormant for a couple years, and I just noticed the latest posts that were added to it. Sorry if I confused anyone.
