datboiardee Linux Steam Integration, the system we've developed to use a native runtime using our optimized libraries instead of the old ones that Steam ships with. It allows us to improve gaming performance, make targeted fixes for certain games (such as loading The Center assets in ARK: Survival Evolved), etc.
Steam recently started shipping a development version of SDL2, Since no distribution in their right mind ships that, it effectively broke Steam whenever native libraries were being used (since there was changes between latest stable and latest development releases of Steam). @Girtablulu added a temporary patch in to allow Steam to use its own SDL2 instead of ours, we'll be able to remove that once a new stable release of SDL2 is out.
