When clicking on software center on Solus Mate, I do not get this particular software listed in the installed software list even though it is installed and working perfectly. It is an extremely light and frugal software for playing video files and its so good that I have little use of the famed "vlc" media player as I have completely switched over to Rythmbox and Cinema for all my media player needs. The software I am writing about is "CINEMA" by http://anufrij.org/cinema/. I have it installed and it is working like a charm but no information about it is available in the search field when I type Cinema. If I search for the particular software so as to install it on my laptop there is no search result. The only way to get it installed is to search for a video player and it immediately shows "Cinema" in the results pane. I can then install it. It works well and shows up in the list of sound and video menu. Unfortunately, it does not show up in the list of installed software. I have this penchant for installing tiny software and this is the tiniest I could find at less than 400kb. The irony is that if I search for this software in the search pane by typing CINEMA" I still am not able to get any information about this software. Would like to know if I am doing something wrong?

For speed, It maybe cause by repositories.Sometimes luckly(!) there is no close repo's for your country, like me.

Thank you Kyrios. Could you please convey my concerns to the developer of the software so that the title shows up in the search pane.

Kiakra Speed was never an issue as I am happy with the 2mbps actual download speeds I am getting with my airtel mobile connection which I believe should work out to about 16Mbps in service provider jargon.

kyrios Thank you Kyrios. Could you please convey my concerns to the developer of the software so that the title shows up in the search pane.

We might add "Cinema" in the package summary next time it's updated so the software center would find it with this keyword.... if we don't forget.

I just did a quick search in the software center and Cinema comes up.

jaw6565 Nope it doesn't because the word cinema is not in the package name or summary.
