hey. maybe i want to take a look @ solus (gnome - edition). question: there are currently mutter - patches out there, which make xorg - sessions almost stutter-free. one distro has already implemented them (it just works), another distro offers it "for download". how about the solus gnome - edition?

sincerely, w.k.

Do you care to link these patches? We already apply a multitude of patches to Mutter to improve performance, see here and I generally try to exercise refrain from pulling in random third-party patches or work that is heavily under development.

weltknoten Packaging software is not coder or programmer job tho. You only need to know how to build the software and how its work to test it.

but still .. a lot of work.

i personally am tired & exhausted when it comes to linux. the last 7 months fights with big companys, that was too much. however, maybe something of this flows into solus or has already flowed into solus. for me only pop or solus comes into consideration. everything else is out of the question now.

weltknoten You're linking to some patches which haven't been merged yet (typically for good reason) or are clearly marked as WIP.

When they get backported to the 3.32 branch, they'll get added.
