that .last_revison file, has just this line inside SNAP_DESKTOP_LAST_REVISION=.

I will try to delete them all. I am curious to see what will happen.

brent OK--I answered my own question: the red X's are root-owned/permissions folders and files in Nautilus. In :algent 's case this is not Nautilus but in the root folder inside of the root folder (.)

So if that's murky enough, viyoriya is still waiting for the Radioactive Icon and the Win icon...
I'm done googling!

That radiation icon on initrd.img & windows icon on vmlinuz.....😀 ( normally small dot will be in the center of radiation icon). Anyone know the icon ?

Did you look inside the folders? Are there files in them? What's inside the files? Maybe there's a hint about the creator there. The creator of the files I mean. Move all that stuff to ~/stuff , wait a while and if nothing evil happens, delete ~/stuff .

n2o Yes, I looked inside of them, some files were corrupted and in some others weren't any hint of what cause it. Everything inside the folders were some index.theme and symbolic links to /usr/share/themes. Moved .dotfolders to ~/stuff as you recommended, and unlinked the .themes. Then rebooted, and I didn't notice anything strange. In the end i deleted ~/stuff.

r-x ==> group can read no write and execute
r-x ==> others can read no write and execute

viyoriya I believed, with no real proof except anecdotal web sources, that the folders with the red x's (or black in algent's case) were root-owned and/or non-writable stuff.
In my Nautilus lately I notice a not more. I did not notice any a year ago. Guess I'd have to read the changelog to be sure.
But ultimately means little. I don't mess with that stuff anyway unless I have to.

viyoriya PS--I'm pretty slow my friend----just 3 days I noticed my SUNDRY category was gone in menu.
It's probably been gone a long time....
