Hi,
To make a long story short, I managed to eliminate all the categories that were shown in the budgie menu (because I'm an idiot). Now the menu only has the "All" category, but it tells me "Sorry, no items found".
I'm posting this in order to discover if there is any relatively easy way for me to solve this or if it's better to just reinstall Solus.
I was having the same problem that is discussed here: https://github.com/solus-project/budgie-desktop/issues/789
I installed a windows game using wine and several different categories appeared in the budgie menu (wine, programs, documents, gog.com), some of them without any applications.
I uninstalled the game but the categories remained in the budgie menu.
Since I'm an idiot, I deleted some file in .local>share>desktop-directories (all the files were titled wine something something). Nothing appeared to change in the budgie menu.
After doing this, I did what I probably should have done in the in the first place and tried to solve the issue using menulibre. For some reason, it did not allow me to delete the wine category it was showing.
I then tried using alacarte. I most likely clicked somewhere I should not have and, poof, no categories in the budgie menu...
When I try launching menulibre or alacarte using the terminal or albert they do not launch.
So, solution or reinstallation?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
