Heya, folks! The time has finally come to begin testing Budgie 10.10 on Solus. A temporary repository for testing has been set up to allow users to install the updated packages, and start testing. The testing period will last at least a couple of weeks. The exact length will be dependent on how the testing goes.
Important! There are some caveats to be aware of before jumping in to updating! This list may be updated as time goes on.
You must be using the Unstable package repository.
The following applets will be deprecated because they are either abandoned upstream, or only work on X11:
Getting Started
- Add the testing repository.
sudo eopkg ar BudgieTesting https://shared.getsol.us/ebonjaeger/packages/budgie-10-10/eopkg-index.xml.xz
sudo eopkg ar Solus https://cdn.getsol.us/repo/unstable/eopkg-index.xml.xz
sudo eopkg ur
- Install all updates
sudo eopkg up
- Reboot your computer.
You should now be running Budgie 10.10 Wayland after you log in.
Please post issues that you find! If it is an upstream issue, you will be asked to report it to the appropriate upstream issue tracker. Do not create issues on the package repository in relation to this Budgie testing.
