For the record Seasonic doesn't get the press that other bid names do, but it's one of the absolute best brands you can get for a PSU. They are very well made.

power supply was always one of those things I could not screw up. If it's a perfect match to mobo it wlll be nice to have.

Advice: take your time removing old one. Watch screws. Have the right size tool. Take your time installing new one. With the tiny screws and I get cords where I want them, this could take me a couple hours.

GPU/CPU...you have thermal paste, rags, chisel, putty knife--that's the danger zone 🙂

New one has included screws and cable ties and a really nice accessories/shaving bag. 😃

Although there was some confusion when first installing at bottom of case. Seasonic recommends installing upside down with fan facing motherboard if you have the rear switch in hybrid mode (fanless) which was the opposite to the orginal PSU the fan was facing down. Fortunately the case has holes for fitting either way so I fitted with fan facing upward toward motherboard after consulting the installation guide.

wow, now that's an interesting wrinkle. so not a custom stock config...upward sounds appropriate to me.

So what differences have you noticed with new PS?
(First thing I notice is smoooth.)

Checking the Voltages they are tight on the rails and within the ATX spec. Yes Smooth.

The reason the fan has to face upward is because of thermal cooling.
