mkl My company had a contract over the last few years to do low-level security audits of web browsers. We had to work with many of the main browser companies, including Brave, Mozilla, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Vivaldi, etc.
Out of all the companies, Vivaldi's leadership was by far the best to deal with. They are so grounded in their approach. While like any company they want to grow, they do not take on big investments, so they retain control and can follow their own philosophy, which is wonderful as you see with their stance on AI. They are not big compared to the competition, but big enough to be viable and continue Vivaldi as a company. I am comfortable using Vivaldi a lot for that reason. I won't get into how bad most of the other leadership teams were, but they had different priorities to say the least.
That all said, I do still use Firefox as well as my secondary browser.
