I've lost hibernation even though swap is on and large enough

Edit: Suspend isn't working for me either—the screen goes black and locks but the fan never stops and the LEDs never go out.

Gossar This might work for the electron apps, but I cannot pronounce on that matter. I just don't have enough knowledge about this whole XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP change and its implications.
Me setting XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=Budgie:GNOME was only for diagnostic purposes investigating the variety breakage. And in my second post I described changes to variety itself that fix variety for Budgie without changing XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP.

Budgie edition - I run sudo eopkg upgrade every week, so this was not after some especially long time.
There was another error about missing a directory, which I created to clear that issue. I am unsure what to do about this Memory Error

Axios I have the same error....however....my discord is crashing when i try to sharescreen or when i turn on my webcam...its fine until someone clicks on it...THEN, it crashes all the way to desktop login screen...... it has done this repeatedly and consistently over the last few days. I had thought the Error and the crashes were related. Any ideas while i fill out a trouble ticket for Discord?
Thank you Folks for any help. I am running XFCE desktop. 🙂

Hi, since last update to Solus 4.8 I can't get into desktop (Budgie). I can switch to a terminal via ctr+alt+f2 but I don't know what to do next. It's an HP Victus 16-e0097ns laptop.
Any hint will be appreciated, Thanks

Is it possible your system partition has run out of storage space? I wasn't able to log into my Solus Mate some time back. I used the cd and rm commands to delete large files and freeing up space made it possible to log into my system.
You might have to boot into a Live USB and see how much storage space is available on your Solus Budgie.

Launching still directly goes into a window "Create a new profile" and loose your saved settings, logins, Cookies, and functionalities like Sync, mail or calendar.

i hope this will be solved with another update?

i do not update my other computers, its too risky to loose them too.

BTO I just started Vivaldi without a problem. I don't want to dismiss your Vivaldi Problem, but I think it's probably not a general probelm. The best is you open a new thread and put in some more information in there. Like a screenshot and maybe a log of when you start vivaldi from the terminal. In my case the binary is called vivaldi-stable. You can start it from the terminal by entering vivaldi-stable and press enter (in case you are not familiar with the terminal).

I don't use budgie though, thus no gnome keyring, so I might be wrong with my assumption.

I'm lately having an issue on Gnome that I need to click on Power off twice to make the computer shutdown.
I've read somewhere that it could be due to package manager.
