I like to leave my screen on all the time with changing pictures from my picture folder. This continuously shows family, vacation and other pictures on my laptop. With Plasma I found a program that lets me use my pictures as the background and changes them every few minutes. This works great. Previously with other distros I used xscreensaver which also allowed me to use my pictures. Unfortunately as far as I know Solus Plasma does not support xscreensaver. But the background changer works okay in place of that.
For the last few days I have been looking at both Gnome and Budgie on VMs. I have not found a way to use my picture files as a changing background or screensaver on either one. The software center shows that Budgie has a screensaver installed but I have not found a way access it. Gnome does not show any kind of screensaver. I have added Gnome tweaks and nothing shows up there either. Neither Gnome or Budgie seem to have a way to set up changing backgrounds.
Is there a way to do what I want to do on either Budgie or Gnome? Thanks for any help anyone can give.
