I installed Solus 4.0 Fortitude GNOME on my Acer Aspire 3 A315-41-R98U notebook which has an AMD Ryzen 5 2500U CPU, AMD Radeon Vega Mobile Graphics GPU, 8GB DDR4 RAM, & 256 GB SSD.
At first I couldn't boot the live USB so I used pci=noacpi which worked & I was able to boot into the live system & installed Solus to my laptop but then when I restarted my computer it wouldn't boot but then I was able to fix it by using acpi=noirq but unfortunately my touchpad isn't detected even when I go to Mouse & Touchpad in settings all I can use is my USB wireless mouse. I also cannot put my computer to sleep because if I do it won't wake up & I'll have to force shutdown.
To make the acpi=noirq boot parameter automatically permanent I used:
echo 'acpi=noirq' | sudo tee /etc/kernel/cmdline
as described here
I also went to the Software Center & installed xorg-driver-input-synaptics after searching touchpad but it didn't solve my problem. I've tried pressing several times my touchpad activation button on my keyboard as well to no avail.
I then posted to Reddit & followed this as in I did sudo eopkg up & got:

As you can see I could not find my touchpad. I keep wondering could ACPI & my boot parameters be affecting my touchpad? I googled ACPI & found this:
ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) is an industry specification for the efficient handling of power consumption in desktop and mobile computers. ACPI specifies how a computer's basic input/output system, operating system, and peripheral devices communicate with each other about power usage.
Could this be the root of my problems? Perhaps acpi=noirq is affecting my touchpad invisibility somehow? I'm still learning more about computers everyday so I apologize if this is a dumb question. I also still am not able to put my laptop to sleep since it'll then not wake up (though I've noticed that if I not press the sleep button & naturally let it fall asleep when I wake it up it will.) Sorry for the long post I just haven't found any solution to my problem. Thank You.
