Hi all
I am trying to update my bios/uefi to the latest firmware via fwupdmgr. No success.
I am on plasma and also tried to update via discover. No success.
My knowledge is surface level when it comes to fwupdmgr.
In the past I have run the following commands, successfully updating any devices that had updates:
fwupdmgr refresh --force
fwupdmgr get-updates
fwupdmgr update
This will be my first time upgrading the actual System Firmware aka bios/uefi.
The issue I am presented with is:
I press [Y] and hit enter to perform operation

I then entered
7 things in total were flagged as having an update error:
- frame.work-LaptopAMDKEK
Update Error: No vendor ID set
- UEFI Signature Database
Update Error: Not enough efivarfs space, requested 16.4 kB and got 8.3 kB
- Option ROM UEFI CA

Update Error: Not enough efivarfs space, requested 16.4 kB and got 8.3 kB, No vendor ID set
- UEFI dbx
Update Error: Not enough efivarfs space, requested 30.7 kB and got 8.3 kB
Truthfully I am way out of my depth as it is.
I suspect it has something to do with efivarfs having insufficient space (lol) and efibootmgr?
Two things I know nothing about....
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks 🙂
