Noob Question: AerynOS and Solus projects working together still?

Hello, I know this has been asked before when Aeryn was Serpent, but has anything with the projects working together come to fruition? On Reddit someone said Ikey stepped away from the project like he did with Solus, but I don't know how true that is.

Is Solus still planning to rebase onto (now) Aeryn OS?

Many of the Solus team members also work on Aeryn stuff and vice versa, so there already is cross-pollination. Some of the recent changes that bring Aeryn and Solus closer together are, for example:

Splitting the macros in ypkg, to make the definitions more compatible with Aeryn tools
Bringing the Solus kernel recipe closer to Aeryn's in terms of hardware support
Using ent (Aeryn tool) for automated package recipe updates
