Problem Discover doesn't launch

After a fresh install of Solus Plasma, I installed Discover but, it doesn't want to start ??
Someone car help me please ??

I am assuming you did a full update and rebooted. If not, do that first.

Go to the command line and run the following to see if it will launch...
plasma-discover --backends packagekit-backend,flatpak-backend,fwupd-backend,kns-backend

If that works, close Discover and try to launch it again. There is a known KDE Discover bug and has been seen from time to time on a few distros.

If it still wont launch from the menu, you can edit the menu entry and add the "--backends packagekit-backend,flatpak-backend,fwupd-backend,kns-backend" into the command line arguments prior to the %F

Did you run, in terminal, the command that Original-Syn provided ? What errors, if any, were displayed ?
You say that you installed Discover: how ? Did you get any errors when installing it ?
What are your system specs ?
Provide some more information and perhaps something could be done.

I tried the solution of @Original-Syn and there is error but discover doesn't launch.
I had installed discover with sudo eopkg it discover . I had no error, I tried reinstall it. But discover nerver start.

EDIT: When you say "after a fresh install of Solus Plasma", what do you mean exactly ? Did you install Solus and then immediately after that the first thing you did was trying to install Discover or did you make a full update and reboot before that ?

I will reinstall solus I think. And I'll see if the install work.

Without proper information about the error, it is hard for us to diagnose.

Hi everyone,

I am using mainly budgie desktop, but yesterday I installed Plasma-desktop using the following command :
sudo eopkg it -c desktop.kde

After installation is finished, I updated and rebooted my system, and logged on the Plasma (Wayland) session. At this point, when I launch Discover, nothing happened.

I will try tomorrow the command you suggested and get back to you
plasma-discover --backends packagekit-backend,flatpak-backend,fwupd-backend,kns-backend

Nevertheless, I noticed recently the same problem on budgie desktop with playonlinux, virtualbox and pinta. I had to install the flatpak version of pinta to use it.

FAb7D yes I read about that and it is advised to use either budgie only or plasma only. A fresh installation would be better. I just wanted to have a look on plasma desktop, it's just my test laptop.

However, for apps like playonlinux, virtualbox and pinta, that happened before the plasma installation on two solus installations, exactly after a system update 4 weeks ago.

I don't feel very well with Discovery either, it often has problems (especially with the flatpacks), however have you already seen these one?
