Original-Syn It is not so much of a rule, it just make more sense to me. As unstable repo is exactly that, it is for testing. So, any report about anything in unstable is a concern for the staff and matrix room are where they hangout most of the time.
That being said, a dedicated discussion in forum for unstable repo stuff does make sense. Maybe you could try start that discussion?
