IBurntMyRice I can't really see why that'd affect the decision unless it's actively posing a threat to anyone running it.
X11 routinely receives security issue reports. Right now, it is unclear how X11Libre would handle this. Right now, they can probably just pull the relevant commits for fixes, but that will be less and less possible as it diverges in code.
I also remain skeptical that security reports will be filed against X11Libre; there is little reason to, as X11 still fixes these issues.
I am also highly skeptical that a 1-man show with a project that big will be around this time next year. At this point, any notion of packaging this for any distro is putting the cart miles before the horse, in my opinion.
And on top of all that, I have little confidence that items like NVIDIA support will remain and be unbroken. It's already been broken once in the Libre project, and had to be reverted, along with a bunch of other commits that were pushed without any review. This points to a lack of good development practices, giving me even less confidence about this project.
