Flatpak applications open blank window

Hello! I have the same problem.
Affected packages : warehouse, flatseal, authentificator
Broken apps just show white blank window.
Strange thing that it's running on the same runtime as Dbeaver - but Dbeaver works as usual.

What i have already done:
1) flatpak repair
2) flatpak uninstall --delete-data org.freedesktop.Sdk org.freedesktop.Platform
then flatpak repair then reinstalling SDK+Platform
3) flatpak uninstall --unused
4)And radical way
flatpak uninstall --all --delete-data -y
sudo rm -rf /var/lib/flatpak
sudo apt remove --purge flatpak
sudo apt --fix-broken install
Restarted the PC

Then did full reinstall of flatpak + adding flathub + installing apps- ZERO EFFECT

System: Debian 12
Kernel: 6.1.0-37-amd64
DE: Plasma 5.27.5 (Wayland)
GPU: Intel HD Graphics

All apps broke after installing the latest updates for flatpak via Discover yesterday

TraceyC I removed the amd card from machine it was of no use to me.
Using intel HD graphics 4000 on display port. Dell optiplex 9010 desktop i7-3770

I pretty much tried alot of what ghtyuser tried in his post and your suggestion
with no luck.

At this point about the only thing I know for sure they work in X11 but not in Wayland.
This is a test machine (to get me familiar with wayland) so if something needs be tried let me know
wont be end of world.

1st I installed Plasma latest iso
2nd did all updates
3rd setting up programs ect (The last flatpak i installed was barrier)(my gut says it caused issue)
4th did flatpak update from terminal (which caused issue or brought something to lite)
This was all over a 3-4 day period.

Oh at this point only 2 flapaks installed
flatsweep - doesnt work
gedit-works fine

This i a workaround only!
Can login to Plasma X11 and use flatseal to disable wayland for the effected program then Reboot to wayland
and the program will work in wayland session.

Shrugs.

OK I did same thing as above but turned wayland back on and turned off Gpu acceleration
and now they work in wayland session.

But Have no idea whats going on at least for now I can deal with them from wayland

The (temporary) solution is:

1- revert org.freedesktop.Platform.GL.default

sudo flatpak update --commit=9466b6b1a85105015f5b275202e461264ff11b000bfe362e31f4fdadc02c0038 org.freedesktop.Platform.GL.default/x86_64/24.08

2- revert org.freedesktop.Platform.GL.default EXTRA

sudo flatpak update --commit=69d02a801578009e1eeeb717d549dfd8334e74a8c7dc55b888e411cfe6a894a3 org.freedesktop.Platform.GL.default/x86_64/24.08extra

I installed flatsweep in my current Gnome (wayland) environment for testing and it works out of the box.

Axios I had the same issue on both Debian 12 (GNOME 43) and openSUSE Leap 15.6 (GNOME 45).
I fixed it temporarily by reverting to an older runtime version. Hopefully, a future Flatpak update will provide a permanent fix.

FcInternazionaleMilano Just going from memory thought the new stuff was patched and some people said the patch didnt work.
Thats kinda why I avoided it the flathub forums was blaming mesa seems like alot
blame game going on with it.
I dont run any heavy Gpu programs with flatpaks so prob not a major issue.

But Welcome to the forum we are one big family here just trying help others out.
And we do it pretty dern well.
Maybe my little adventure will be of use to somebody else.

Yeah this looks like a Mesa problem. For flaatpak apps this stems from Freedesktop module (that include this bad mesa release).

Thats what got me into trouble their was an extra yes/no question and like a fool I did not read it
much and proper selected yes.
Rest is history..lol
But hey wanted learn wayland guess I stepped into it with both feet
Hasnt been an issue on my Budgie machines.

I was thrown by that early on too.
My plan is like yrs: get my feet wet re: Wayland. Waiting for my cheap SSD and 8GB stick for an old laptop then Wayland it is.

PS---I like yr crystal dock. I worry about all the APPs you cannot run on Wayland. Guess I'll find out. I used something called DockX which has the same effects as yours I like it better than Plank etc

I just did a flatpak update and reset my effected flatpaks back to normal
and this issue appears resolved.
At least on my machine.
