Brightness slider missing

Hi,
I have a fresh install of Solus Gnome on my laptop and the Brightness slider is missing from the system menu (top right). However, I can change the brightness with the keyboard and then the slider shows up in the system menu.

Any ideas on how to correct that?

Maybe you can use "Soft Brightness Plus" gnome extension. At least I have this one to use brightness slider. It may help?

This is a known bug of GNOME 48. You gotta wait until it's fixed and the fix has landed in Solus or try the workaround mentioned here:

Welcome to the Forum, by the way.
So, I am a bit surprised that GNOME hasn't been updated to 48.1 in Solus yet, cause it was released a month ago.

So, if you wanna contribute a bit it is totally legit for you to submit a package update request here for gnome-settings-deamon to version 48.1. mentioning that it fixes the slider issue and also providing the link I posted in my first reply.

gnome-settings-deamon probably won't be updated seperately but with the entire GNOME stack.

Gnome was updated to 48.1 ages ago https://github.com/getsolus/packages/pull/5457

But for whatever reason gnome-settings-daemon was not. https://github.com/getsolus/packages/blob/main/packages/g/gnome-settings-daemon/package.yml#L5

EDIT:
When it was updated to Gnome 48.1 (15th April). There was no gnome-settings-daemon 48.1 (19th April).

My bad. I only checked for the version of gnome-settings-deamon in repo and then draw the wrong conclusion.
