Brscan5 for Brother scanners/multifunction printers.

I recently got my hands on a refurbished Brother DS-640 scanner, & can't get it to work on Solus, but I did get it working on Linux Mint DE with the .Deb file from the Brother website, and on Manjaro Gnome by installing Brscan5 from the AUR, I've tried Brscan4 found in the repos here, but no luck with any scanner software, the closest it gets is with the Gnome Document Scanner that shows Brother Unknown, then when trying to scan no dice. So if someone smarter than myself could get Brscan 5 ported over, as it would really be great for us fans of Brother Printers/scanners, and so I can switch my mother's PC back from Manjaro Gnome to Solus Budgie that's much easier, for her to use, and more stable I would be forever grateful, Thank you!

1) go to repo and type "brother" there may be additional scanner drivers but that thing looks newer
2) when everything has failed to see my scanner, GScan2pdf always has. It's an ugly program though
3) Odds improve with sane-backends installed and sane packages
4) driverless printing is a thing, I wonder is scanning is too?
5) imho the deb and rpms would be worthless to extract from here unless you find some miracle stories deep in your research
6) where there is a will there is always a way

Extracting the deb file it looks pretty straightforward, so I would not expect it to take much to get it added. Not seeing any dependencies that would likely be an issue, at first glance.
