Heya folks! It's sync day, and that means it's time for the weekly Solus roundup!
This week, eopkg.bin
was updated to version 4.2.0. This release adds a few exciting features and fixes, including the ability to reorder repositories, and a fix for some very slow package updates. We've also removed some dead weight in the form of HTTP Basic-Auth support for repositories, which we couldn't think of a good use for. Read the full changelog if you're interested, and make sure to check out the eopkg.bin
command if you do package management from the command line. This compiled Python 3 eopkg
will replace the old Python 2 version as default on all Solus systems Soon™️ (no ETAs!).
We have a new package hitting the repository this week. OpenROAD is a completely open-source VLSI design tool that provides a full logic-to-physical-design flow. This is a great tool for anyone working on digital hardware design.
