24 Solus updates processed (1,13 GiB) and nothing to report so far.

Budgie is my daily desktop and I use now Discover to process Solus updates, and it works fine.
Except that I still don't receive any notification from Discover when Solus updates are ready, unlike Solus Software.
I thought it might be due to some missing packages, so I installed the following:

- xdg-desktop-portal-kde
- kf6-knotifyconfig

but nothing helps, still no notifications.
Are Budgie or XFCE users experiencing the same problem?
Do I need another package, or even an applet?
I think it's important to be reactive to new updates.

penny-farthing I use Budgie, but I install and upgrade from the command line so can't address the Discover question. However, I do get the notification in the panel (the bell icon changes colour and when I click on it I get the list of notifications, which includes the one stating that updates are available). Do you get that panel notification?

No, I do not.

Is it possible to do the same thing with Budgie ?
If not, would it be possible to automatically force Solus security updates, without user intervention?
In this way, the user would only have to visit Discover every Saturday to validate other Solus updates.
What do you think about it?

Not a good idea. I don't want a system that performs installations without my consent, no matter how important they are.

Hello All,
Unfortunately when rebooting my laptop, the graphic interface won't come up. the screen just display the manufacturer logo (which normally disappear after a couple of seconds). I was still able to open the terminal interface and rolled back to just before the upgrade and my system could boot normally.
I tried again to upgrade just in case but face the same result (graphic interface not loading after reboot).
Happy to share any log you may seem relevant.
