Welcome back to Solus!
I have a similar story. During the Solus crisis, I thought it was the end and migrated to Void (great distro, by the way, as good as Solus). Then I read the news that Solus was on its feet again, and the nostalgia was too strong. I burned an ISO, and here I am.
I left Solus and came back several times (distrohopping), and I must confess that this is the first time that I returned to Solus due to nostalgia. In the past, when I tried other distros, it was "this worked better on Solus", or "On Solus I didn't have this problem".
