Hello everyone! Another month, another roundup. In this edition, we will talk about packaging, our website and documentation, cleanup crew and funding.
Welcome to the fifth edition of Contributor Roundup!
Packaging
We have 19 authors that committed to the packages repository, amounting to 846 commits in the month of March.
There was no change to the Packaging workflow in March. All previous changes to packaging workflow are kept in "Packaging Changes" page in the help center.
We still have 8 open issues tagged as "Good First Issue". Grab one while it is still there!
Solus Cleanup Crew
We completed two cleanup tasks this month 🎉 . After more than one year of effort, 2300 packages later, more than a dozen contributors (new and old); the homepage task is finally closed. This task is dear and close to my heart as my first contribution to Solus was adding homepage to zziplib
package. Wiki GNOME task has also been closed. We want to thank everyone that contributed to this milestone, especially to these people:
- A108384
- dikelito
- Domen Skamlic
- true_anomaly
- uni-dos
- stigarn
- Solus staff members
- and many more I missed
Once again thank you, we very much appreciate it.
We addedmonitoring.yaml
files to 25 packages. We also added AppStream metainfo to 13 packages this month. libvterm
is removed from repository this month because neovim
(or any other package) no longer needs it. Here are the tasks that still need to be done and their progress:
Website and Documentation
There are 4 authors that contributed 5 commits this month to the documentation repository. We also have a few open issues on our documentation and website repositories:
We are still looking for help with web development, especially someone withhugo
experience. Please get in touch.
