michael_s Hi folks, since "Snapcraft" is no longer available, is there any other way to get the "ubports-installer" to Solus? M.
Staudey michael_s Well, it seems to be available as an AppImage from the Download page: https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/installer/
SethStorm666 It's still there, but not installed by default. sudo eopkg up sudo eopkg install snapd Then enable snap sudo systemctl enable --now snapd.socket sudo systemctl enable --now snapd.apparmor.service A logout or reboot is required I think.
michael_s SethStorm666 Oh, ok, didn't know that. But then what does this mean: https://news.itsfoss.com/solus-linux-drop-snap/? M.
michael_s @Harvey, @Staudey wait a minute, so snaps are somehow (still?) available, but officially not? And the alternative would be an AppImage? Confusing ... M.
Harvey michael_s Snaps are still available but are going away on Solus, so I would not recommend them.
AlphaElwedritsch michael_s And the alternative would be an AppImage? Confusing ... Or a flatpak if available, but unfortunately not in your case
