WiFi Password won't save.

I recently reinstalled Solus on this laptop. Now I can't get it to save the WiFi password. Each time I reawaken the laptop or restart it I have to put the password in again. I have gone into settings and then WiFi and put the password in there and then clicked apply. But when I look again the password is blank. In the previous install I only had to put it in using settings and it stayed there. But now it won't. I have tried restarting Solus a couple of times but I still can't get the password to stay. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Citfta I think that this happened once when I set up WiFi password on a fresh install and then did an update directly after. When I rebooted it asked me to set up WiFi password again. Rebooted again without updating and the password stuck with no further issues.
Solus Plasma Wayland session.
Try putting in the password and then doing a full reboot. If you can it is better to reboot after any updates.

I put in the password while in live mode. Then after the install and restarting I put it in again. Then after doing a full update I restarted and put it in again. It still won't stay saved. Each time I restart or reawaken this laptop I have to enter the password again. I have gone into settings several times and gone to the WiFi section and put it in and then clicked on apply. But if I go back and look even without rebooting or reawakening the password is gone.

Citfta It sounds to me like something is wrong with your installation. Maybe your hard drive has some faults.
Please help others to help you by indicating what version of Solus you are using (Budgie, Plasma, XFCE or Gnome) also some details about hard drive and CPU.

Citfta Are you using automatic login? I think this could be an issue with the keychain not being unlocked by default.

I think you might be right about something not installing correctly. I have everything set up just the way I want it with the programs I normally use already installed but if no one can figure out how to fix this I guess I'll just have to reinstall it again. Thanks for your suggestions.

Yes I am using auto login as no one else has access to my PC. In the installation I had earlier I also had auto login with no problems. I don't know what is different. How would I check about the keychain?

Citfta On Plasma Keychain used to prompt for a password on every session. Very annoying so I press cancel whenever prompted to set up Keychain. It means that WiFi password needs to be entered twice to connect on initial setup but then it sticks with no other issues.
In Settings>Wi-Fi & Networking>Wi-Fi
Hover mouse over your Wi-Fi connection name, Right-click and select delete.
Exit Settings
From the desktop left-click the Wi-Fi symbol in the system tray, find your connection name and left-click Connect.
Enter the Wi-Fi password but cancel the setup of Keychain. Wi-Fi will not connect.
Enter the Wi-Fi password but cancel the setup of Keychain again. Wi-Fi will connect and should remain after restarting.
Restart and check Wi-Fi.
I think that should sort things for you.

@BuzzPCSOS Thank you very much for your suggestion! I followed what you said and it WORKED! You saved me a few hours worth of work since I didn't have to reinstall Solus and all the other programs I had already installed and set up. I think I am going to really like Solus and the help I have been getting so far.
