Hi folks, I'm Italian so sorry if my english is not perfect
I'm 20 years linux user, but nor tech user I simply use linux OS as it's just for basic use and browsing.
I have a issue with all distros (debian, arch based, fedora, openSuse ) on my dad laptop with freez every hour or so, tomorrow I'll install Solus on it to see if it is stable, I'll repost here on the forum if I have issues.
Today, I install Solus on my main laptop too in dual-boot with CachyOS and kudos to the dev team is a fantastic OS, KDE flavour is perfect, I intall all my apps and in great.
Only 2 minor issue on Solus KDE:
a) during installation there is a strange behaviour choosing Spanish keyboard (yes I'm italian but my main laptop Dell Latitude 3420 has spanish keyboard) : try the spanish default keybord (with dead keys) on the installer when you choose a board (there is a space where test is key is ok) if i try to do a è or é is not working it get simply a e, like if dead key are not working, I select the keyboard anyway and complete installation and at reboot my spanish keyboard default is perfectly working with dead keys too so i can write è or é just fine. Is not a issue but could be a problem for spanish user during installation because keyboard seems not been working as intended.
b) I install all my pletora of programs and I used to install Kamoso too just to test if webcam and microphone are working. Well when I open Kamoso the app is force closing after 3 seconds appearing on the try, my webcam is active (i have a led indicator to inform if is on and the indicator is active) and the only way to stop webcam is restar system.
2 little issue in a fantastic OS
Will be great if someone can test it and solve.
Thanks
