Does Solus Have these Python packages (inside other packages?) or equivalents?

Compiling and want to install a dock I really like called DockbarX. Want to see if there's life after Plank.
It needs Zeitgeist and python-keybinder----we have both.

But can't find the others 3 packages:

python-wnck
python-imaging
python-xlib

do these have equivalents in Solus, or do they exist in other packages? Thanks you.

I don't think python-wnck is a thing, its libwnck (written in C), its in the repo (You may need libwnck-devel).

python-xlib is in the repo.

python-imaging, I am pretty sure you mean python-pillow (Python Imaging Library) also in the repo (You may need python-pillow-devel).

my install went fine (threw no errors).
would not launch from the budgie menu.
terminal shows:
$ dockx
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/dockx", line 28, in <module>
import gtk
ImportError: No module named gtk

this is not list as a dep in their readme. What do you think?

Following dependecies needs to be installed:

zeitgeist, python-wnck, python-imaging, python-keybinder and python-xlib.
Install python-gnomeapplet if you want to use DockbarX as a gnome-panel applet (gnome2) you should install python-gnomeapplet. (This doesn't work in newer releases of Ubuntu.)
To use dockbarx as an AWN applet, you also need to copy the content of the AWN folder to ~/.config/awn/applets.
Some of the stand alone dock applets require dependencies:
    Cardapio applet: Cardapio
    Appindicators: indicator-application
To use DockManager helpers, you need to install dockmanager and dockmanager-daemon as well as libdesktop-agnostic-cfg-gconf and libdesktop-agnostic-vfs-gio. The last two might not need to be installed separately on distributions that aren't Debian based.

Extract dockbarx. Change directory to where you extracted dockbarx and run the setup.py install $ sudo ./setup.py install

followed some advice and install python-gtk2. but that cause many more errors:

I doubt I can fix this with the gnconf package, but may take a break from this tonight and watch the snow fall intermittently in Green Bay

You might be able to, just install gconf.

Not to rain on your parade, but is this the dockbarx you are trying to compile? If yes, then it is even more dead than plank. Python 2 and GTK 2 is just not desirable at all.

alfisya gconf did not fix it but I tore all that stuff out and removed.
got tarballs for deepin dock and cairo. will play later. thanks
