WetGeek that is amazing footage. I hope to get some of those space stills extracted and set as wallpaper (at around the 5 minute mark). 2:45 to 4:15 mark also intense as it enters.

when the US recently asked Musk to rescue the stranded Boeing astronauts...and he said "yes, no problem" I wonder when that mission will be prepared? And with what SpaceX craft? Is the ISS docking part retrofitted I wonder? That will be thrilling. He promised the US it would be in February last I heard but then all news went dark about it unless I'm not looking in the right places.

I'm looking forward to that rescue, too. Those poor astronauts signed up for a few days in space, and that quickly changed to months in space because of Boeing's failure. That's becoming a recurrent theme, with door plugs falling out of Boeing airplanes, and several crashes that should never have happened.

Boeing just laid off 2,000 workers here in the Pacific Northwest. Maybe they've learned a thing or two from this?

WetGeek that airline had the worst 2 years of any airline I saw in my lifetime (my opinion is simply amt of incidents on front page), and yet launched a rocket where cracks and breaks appeared during flight. Those astronauts were lucky. Way too long stranded up there.

No idea until now. Apparently the proposed February rescue mission was able to leave earlier!

WetGeek the launch you showed was that one he is trying out for Mars which purposefully went down into the Indian Ocean to see if some things worked.

As far as the Rescue, I have read 12 stories from Times of India to the LA Times and none of these dam* papers have one consistent fact between them and wildly different. I feel stupider for having researched this. How did the internet get this awful? (rhetorical question I guess)

I don't know, but I've looked everywhere and I can't find another source that corroborates the story about the rescue mission's having been launched. I even searched "spacex news" and found nothing to suggest that. Perhaps the location where that article originated has different ways to express something that's planned, versus something that's already happened. Maybe if we could read the text of the article that headline might make more sense? At any rate, I strongly suspect that the rescue is still on for February.
