Hi,

The latest update broke my system. It seems that the kernel 6.11.7.-309 is causing the issue, because I can still boot on the kernel 6.11.5-307

With the latest kernel image I get this error :

error preparing initrd : device error
start_image() returned Device Error
StartImage failed: Service Error

How to choose the default boot kernel in Solus OS?

Also where is the issue coming form in the new kernel? Any idea?

Thanks.

    IOTech17 you can install grub-customizer to edit boot options and also to set the default boot option.

    IOTech17 also you could delete the kernel file but that's risky and i don't really know why would that happen, maybe it was installed incorrectly or something else, mine's working really well.

    Using clr-boot-manager I set the previous kernel as default and it boot just fine.

    I checked both all the package and the fs all is good.

    I do believe that there might be a regression on the most current kernel.

    7 days later

    I updated Solus os to the latest version, all is working well with the latest kernel!.
