Audio 5.1 in Jack motherboard MSI B550 not recognized

Hello, please excuse my English, I'm not very good.

I am new to Linux and I have an audio issue.

I have a Logitech Z906 connected with 3 jacks to the back of my motherboard, but these (RS-Out, CS-Out) are not recognized.

When I plug my HyperX headset into the front jack, it works, but nothing at the back.

Only the line-in jack is recognized.

I am not up to date with Budgie so this might be a little off. Try the system settings program, it comes as part of the distro. Look in the settings for sound/ audio. There may be an option to enter into the pro audio settings which will give you more control over where the audio leaves your box.
Failing that maybe one of the many clever Budgie users on this forum might be able to point you in the right direction.

Yes, sometimes the audio output defaults to stereo and you need to change it to 5.1. It looks like your system is using a fairly common audio chip so it's probably not a Linux compatibility issue (though you could always try booting into a different distro live USB to check).

Sometimes ALSA provides only the most essential audio chip functionality excluding additional features (or device specific quirks) such as Jack-sensing. When it is the case, the correct speaker configuration must be selected manually (Like, it the case for the senseless digital connection). Fortunately, no custom configuration for a PipeWire is required in this trivial case (well, it looks like it), just switching to the correct speaker configuration in settings, like in the screenshot above.
