Always a good place to find distro specific tips and any changes that are being implemented.
The company is good!
There is always someone who will try and answer questions where possible.
It feels like being in some sort of organisation where we all help each other. I have tried asking questions on other forums but always feel less at home than I do here, sometimes because of the level of Linux knowledge that is expected and other times because the way the forum is run is just not friendly.
It is great seeing user names that feature regularly on these pages, it adds to the community feel of the whole project and underlines the fact that Solus is not a short term usage distro.
I think the forum justifies as another reason why so many are choosing Solus to stay with.

I have tried a couple times to change from win to Linux but i was never happy.
Since i found Solus i noticed i didn`t need win anymore.
Last month i installed Solus on my main Hard drive NVME Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB and deleted win for good.
This would not have happened without the georgeous help on this forum.

I mostly use it to browse the Sync Notes and/or post some bullshit. What's kinda annoying is that whenever I want to find something specific I saw on the forums a couple weeks ago the search turns out to be almost useless. It's way too fuzzy and shows me all kinds of junk that isn't related to my search terms.

Staudey Yes I tend to agree on that have looked for stuff that I had known
was on here and gave up after awhile and went looking in google again.

Note: Even going back and trying to find stuff you posted yourself is not exactly user friendly
But dont want get thread into the rabbit hole of software..lol

This forum is indispensable for multiple user and Solus dev team interaction, given that the posts are visible long term. As opposed to Matrix, which is more suitable for temporary chat style interaction, limited to a few users. More users have an opportunity to see and comment in the forum.
The forum is similar to, and a good alternative to the Discord, imo.

I have found that the Solus Forum has a lot of useful information, along with the devs posting updates for the distro, which I enjoy. Reminds me when I used to lurk around in the Linux Mint forums a long while ago.

Very helpful although it's such a stable and logical system I have very few issues.. Nearly all my problems are self inflicted..
