Strange happenings on Plasma

Came back to my machine on 4.6 Plasma. Logged in to the lock screen clicked on Libre Writer which was minimised with a document open, next thing I know I get a black screen and kicked to login screen with all programs closed. Was on X11, some might say the latest KDE desktop is not entirely stable,

I wouldn't make such harsh statements the first time something happens.
And what is stable? Should nothing ever happen?

If something crashes, please file a bug report with details. Otherwise we can't look into what might be the problem.

If you know what crashed I will.

I have absolutely no way of knowing what crashed on your (or anyone else's) system without a bug report and logs. Crashes can happen for many different reasons.

Have updated the issue above with a journal log which seems to indicate the x server died.
