Hello,
I'm usually able to troubleshoot issues myself, but I'm stuck on this one and would appreciate any help.
When I boot into the live environment (without using nomodeset), everything works fine (I'm using the latest Solus ISO with GNOME). However, after installing Solus and rebooting, I only get a black screen. I can switch to a TTY, but I see the following error:
'nouveau 0000:02:00.0: DRM: base-0: timeout'
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Updating the entire system
- Attempting to start GNOME manually with startx (it fails, and after exiting, the screen becomes off-centered and displays artifacts)
- Switching to a different display manager
- Booting with nouveau.nomodeset
I'm experiencing the same issue on Debian Testing, but I'm not sure where else to ask.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions, and apologies if my English is unclear!
