Problem with scanning TAM codes

I'm the "new kid" in Solus town, using the OS since 2 weeks and I'm quite satisfied so far...

But today a problem occured with my online banking. My bank wants me to change the password/PIN,
so I chose a new one. I have to confirm it with a TAN, generated by a separate PHOTO-TAN generator, that reads a code from the screen and translates it to a six digit code number, that I have to insert into the mask. But to my surprise, the TAN generator can't read the code. I tried using Firefox and Ungoogled Chromium. When I switched to my Tablet-PC, running Iodé Android 14 it worked.

Did anybody have the same problem on Solus? How did you solve it? Any hint/advice for me?

No. Using ING with Photo TAN Generator without issues
Normally my screen brightness on my laptop is at 25-30%. When scanning my photo TAN, sometimes I have to increase a bit.

But in general, no problems

TAN means "transaction number", it's used to verify an online banking transaction (in Germany/Europe)...

Strange... I'm a customer of BB Bank, and on other Linux OSes the problem never occurred. The brightness of my screen is never lower thant 75%.

michael_s Just for clarification : did you scan the code successfully with other Linux distributions on the same device?

If it's just about scanning a code from the screen then it really sounds like some sort of screen brightness or resolution issue. Especially if it's the same issue in two browsers, which probably rules out rendering issues.

Sebastian Right. Before I was running LMDE 6 on this device, a Fujitsu Lifebook E736. Had no problem doing my online banking...
