Spaceboy60 I notice neither back in time or timeshift are in the repos. Can somebody recommend a gui to backup either system data or the home parition . Thanks
bigrammy Spaceboy60 grsync is a gui for rsync it's in the Solus repository. I think it would probably suit your requirements. Details here https://www.opbyte.it/grsync/
Spaceboy60 What about system files backup?? Any solution similar to timeshift/snapper? Or do I just stick with rescuezilla/foxclone etc? Lastly I noticed with eopkg history you can do rollbacks, does this still work with the latest Solus?
Axios Spaceboy60 I would stick with whatever program you use for system or disk images. Rollback still works.
WetGeek Axios I would stick with whatever program you use for system or disk images. He asked about backing up system files. Some of those programs won't work on Solus, because it doesn't support cron.
Axios WetGeek I was replying to this (Or do I just stick with rescuezilla/foxclone etc?) I knew the others didnt work prob should have said that
johano Another GUI for managing backups using borg is available in the Solus repo, called vorta. restic is another possible backup solution, available in the repo. I don't know if there is a GUI available for it
geekom13 Acronis True Image if you have WD DISK - usb wd you can download acronis free Acronis True Image for Western Digital you will need usb flash iso to usb Be careful when using the program and follow the explanations and instructions for using the program The program works with all operating systems
palto42 There is a gui for restic as well, backrest, but I have not tried it (using runrestic with systemd).
WetGeek palto42 There is a gui for restic as will, backrest, but I have not tried it (using runrestic with systemd). I should have figured there would be. I've been using Restic for years with a couple of short scripts I wrote. I should take a look at backrest. Thanks.
