Yeah, I have change from Nvidia to Radeon. Best thing I ever did - so smooth.

Specs:
Solus - Plasma 6.1.5
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X - 3.4 GHz Processor - 16 cores
Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING - DDR4
RAM: Team Group ZEUS - 64GB: 2x32GB DDR4 RAM 3200MHz
GPU: Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 7900 XTX Grafikkort - 24GB GDDR6
SSD: Samsung 990 PRO Heatsink - 2TB SSD NVMe

And here with Desktop setup:

Nice rig. I'm curious, why did you opt for zen 4 instead of zen 5?

murbert I imagine because it has a better price-to-performance ratio. 5950x CPUs are available for around 300 USD equivalent nowadays and AM4 motherboards are cheaper than AM5 motherboards still. That cost savings probably allowed him to get a 7900 XTX for the same overall cost as a Zen5 CPU with a 7800XT/7900XT.

I think its cute they left a couple usb-2 ports in thereπŸ˜‰.

But WOW. Look forward to your new art on the new rig.

ReillyBrogan Yep. I have always recommended to people when building a gaming PC to save a little bit on the CPU for a stronger GPU.

      ReillyBrogan

Spot on. I'm a gamer, so the GPU is more important than the CPU in my case. Not that 5950x is bad, but price wise it's a better deal IMHO.

      Makes sense.
If i had to do it i would be not much different.
