  • Second drawer not available for HP Officejet Pro 9022

Hi all,

I expect it to be an upstream problemen, but I recently bought a HP Officejet Pro 9022 and using HPLIP I cannot access the second drawer. Since this is the drawer for special paper types this is rather annoying, forcing me to use Windows when I need to print on thicker paper.

How can I solve this or where can I can I request a fix?

  • The problem has been solved. I have been playing around trying to find a solution and I say I had 2 instances of the printere available at one point. One of these had both drawers available. I am not sure if this was a manual installation or the hplip one. But I can work now.

    I was going to say, "HPLIPS won't give you the HP 9022 fine-tuning interface that you need, so why don't you go see if HP can give it to you at the HP 9022 page?"

    Yesterday I saw an 8600 at Goodwill for $15. I was wondering if I could clean it up and use it, and similar to you, find an interface with that granular control you are asking about. So let me type that in.

    I'm starting to think for these all in ones that its a WIN thing...does a 3rd party provide a generalized controls-GUI for HP all in ones?

    don't own an HP so I'm stumped the support for 2nd drawers and thickness etc don't seem to be available.
