iroylearner111 pomon Done what you said . Went to the location but there was nothing much to customize. Well I guess I have to stick with the primary one.
alfisya For Budgie and XFCE (MATE too), you can install lightdm-settings. It will be visible from the menu as "Login Window". You can change wallpaper, adjust date/time, enable numlock and more.
pomon The login screen is one thing, and the lock screen is another. I don't know what exactly you expect @iroylearner111 when you write customize.
pomon No problem. For clarification: for changes to the login screen - lightdm-settings, for the lock screen - dconf-editor. In the latter, not much can be changed, but e.g. the wallpaper, yes 😃
iroylearner111 pomon I downloaded the lightdm-settings from software center but I couldn't find it anywhere . How can I open this app?
EbonJaeger For clarification, the lock screen is dependent on the desktop environement you're using; Budgie uses budgie-screensaver (a fork of gnome-screensaver, which is a fork of xscreensaver). This line of screensavers aren't very customizable; I think you're pretty much limited to the background image and the GTK theme in use.
EbonJaeger In someone's infinite wisdom, the name of the application in the menu is "Login Window". Why they decided to call it that, I have no idea.
iroylearner111 EbonJaeger Found it thanks but t hey should keep similar name on both software center and menu
