Looking for a performant webcam, must be supported natively by Solus Budgie.
Any apps or programs required by the webcam, should also be available via Solus installation.
Must be compatible with OBS and Zoom.
Must support a minimum of 1080p (bonus points for 4k), 60 fps, and must be good under low-light conditions.
Anyone who has tried any on Budgie?

Thank you.

Look no farther than Logitech. Here's mine, I'm pretty sure:

They also have various more affodable models on Amazon, but you specified "performant." That was important to me as well.

(Then also sell even MORE performant models, such as 4K web cams for those with newer monitors.) So far that hasn't been an issue for me. Mine provides Carl Zeiss optics, and stereo sound.

snowee May I check that this is the Logitech C922X Pro Stream Webcam?

Actually, mine is the HD Pro C920 Widescreen, two of whch I bought a long time ago. I chose that image because it looks exactly like mine, but many of them do. I suspect the 922 is a newer model, perhaps with more or better features, The price of the 920 is still as shown, and they're still availaable today from Amazon.

The model you mentioned in $75 instead, and the main features are listed as the same, but it also says that it can change backgrounds, so there appears to be some video editing software. You can see all the C922 models at amazon.com, depending on where you live. Some are even higher priced than the one you mentioned, and might fit your needs even better.

The link you posted appears to be from the Amazon web page, so I suspect that you already have access to Amazon.com. You can confirm that the 922 and the 920 look exactly the same.

WetGeek I agree with you the logitechs will give you value for the money and OP should start there. I have a 'high end' , for me, C270 which maxes out at 720. 1080+ was OP's desire. So that was maybe the 400 and up series? Don't know. I always loved those ones like you got with the bat ear mic wings that extend out. They always make me smile.
