Is there really nothing else that can be said about this? Is anyone on the forums using a Thinkpad X200T? I just find it a little strange that the Solus documentation claims that the X200T is compatible with Solus, but it won't even boot on my end.

Did you run sudo sync after dd?
Is your laptop in EFI or Legacy mode?
When you booted from the USB did it say it was booting a partition or drive? Drive works for me, partition doesn't.

eurydome Same result with nomodeset? Black screen with flashing cursor? No startup chime sound?
Was that after it prompted to select Solus 4.0 or "firmware", or did you not even see that screen?

Try pressing ctrl+alt+F2 on the black screen. If you get a login prompt, use user "live" and a blank password, at least then you can examine logs etc.

Justin yeah i did sync after dd. i’m Not totally sure how to check if I’m in EFI or legacy. I’ve looked through my Bios setting but don’t see anything relating to that. i’m booting from drive too.

Louhy no chime and no menu. Just a black screen and cursor. I’ll try the the key combination later tonight tho.

I guess I give up. Ubuntu budgie it is for me.

Justin Yes secure boot is disabled. I am not quite sure what it is but Solus just doesn't seem to boot. I tried multiple different ISOs (Ubuntu, Antergos, Clear Linux, Void) on the same USB stick and all of them worked. All were made with DD. I'm just going to put it to rest though.
