Heya folks! It's update time! We have a relatively light list of updates this week. Of note, Vulkan was updated to 1.3.290. While there is nothing big in that version, we are hopeful that it will fix some loader issues that users have been experiencing lately.
For our AMD users, lact has been added to the repository. LACT is an AMDGPU configuration tool for Linux. Features include viewing information about the GPU, power and thermals monitoring, fan curve control, overclocking, and power state configuration.
We are looking for help in testing software center applications. The more testing these packages receive, the better the results will be when we switch to them by default. If you are interested in testing, install GNOME Software (gnome-software) or KDE Discover (discover), and start using them to install, remove, and update packages. Our Solus Package Taskforce:tm: (we're still workshopping the name) has been hard at work this week bringing the repository up to current standards:
Most of these tasks are beginner-friendly, and can be a great way to learn Solus packaging. We invite anyone that has the time and inclination to join us!
